E-commerce platform for Autocar

Autocar is the leader in towbar sales and installation in Slovakia. A growing number of site visitors and orders caused performance and stability problems with the system. First, the existing system was migrated to the latest version of PrestaShop, with a focus on improving the user interface and optimizing server hardware load (we managed to cut the average page load time in half). We implemented specific product catalog features such as choosing the towbar wiring kit, choosing the installation location, restrictions for courier delivery and payment gateway payments, and more.

The system runs as a multishop with a shared product base for multiple domains in different countries. It is managed through a unified administration interface that allows defining users and roles for individual domains and groups of domains.

We also optimized the site for mobile devices and search engines and supported sales with marketing tools (Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, Mailchimp, Sklik, Heureka) – automated feed generation, remarketing, Mailchimp integration and much more.

Our support also covers administration, security, monitoring and optimization of the production server, including automated backups and monitoring.

A separate synchronization server written in Java was built for integration with internal systems (primarily the OASIS invoicing and warehouse system).

We have been managing the e-shop for many years, regularly updating its core and modules and continually making it easier to operate, whether by developing new features or by connecting it to and automating external systems. The e-shop is also expanding into more countries, where we ensure compatibility with local external systems.
